Sandblasted Signs

There are many steps taken in the fabrication of any custom sign, and custom Sandblasted Signs are no exception.the fist step is the creative process, and once the layouts are approved, the fabrication begins.

Airpark Banner and Signs production team are experts at manufacturing Sandblasted Signs. The process begins with a Sign Blank. It is cut into the shape of a sign before the sandblasting process.

The two most popular forms of sand blasted signs are wood signs and HDU foam signs.

S Sandblasted Signs are created by blasting a sign blank covered by an adhesive backed mask. The mask is either an exact positive or negative of the design of the sand blasted sign depending weather the finished look is to be concave or convex. Sections of the sign are sandblasted and removed due to the fact that they are left exposed, not covered by the mask. The mask protects the raised areas of the sign leaving the exposed area open to the harsh pressure of being sandblasted. Sandblasting occurs when dry sand is propelled at high pressure at an object. A high pressure air and sand mixture is forced through a nozzle, stripping away everything in its path.

The rubber mask protects areas of the sign blank by not permitting exposure to the blast mixture, which when it comes into contact with the mask is repelled. After sandblasting the sign blank is cleaned and prepared for finishing.

Raw Sandblasted Signs require several coats of primer to achieve a proper seal.

Shipping Time on Sandblasted Signs

Please allow at least two weeks for delivery. Your order will be shipped from Scottsdale, Arizona and will take 5 to 7 days to arrive. All order will ship via UPS ground unless otherwise specified.

Shipping Method of Sandblasted Signs

Orders will be shipped via UPS Ground Service as long as the items meet the UPS ground guidelines. If not someone from our order procurement team will contact you in advance. If you have an existing Fed Ex or DHL account that you prefer us to use please let us know at the time you place your order.
