Banners are one of the easiest methods to tell people what an advertiser wants to. Every time and to every one, he cannot go on explaining the same thing and even is he does that, it takes a very long time to achieve the set goal. Therefore banners can replace his work and also achieves the goal in a very short period of time. The advertisement may be on a product or a service. A product banner tells about the product on which the banner is made while the service banner conveys the different services offered by the firm or a company displaying the banner.

When banners are created or prepared, it is seen that the matter in that should contain all the necessary details on a product or service. But in some cases one or few more banners with extra details if required, will have to be created by learning the impact of such banners on people.

The banners that are prepared in addition are called extra banners. Sometimes, in online advertising, many require extra banners to fill the space with their information. The extra banners thus ordered for preparing may contain additional information on the existing product or service. Or the extra banners can be prepared to give details on an upcoming product of the same company. In some cases, the hanging banners though designed to give all the information might not have done so. This may give raise to confusions in public. To solve such problems, the advertiser may decide to go for an extra banner that can clear the doubt.

Sometimes when a company introduces a product say for example, a cell phone because of the periodical changes in some decisions taken may use these extra banners to pass the changed information. This cell phone company may first announce some amount of purchase price of the cell phone. For this, the company will have used a banner already to give the details of the same. But after a period, the same company may want to announce different rate plans in the cell phone connection. It is then that these extra banners find use. The company might use extra banners to inform the different rate plans to the customers.

Also, when there is a change in any event, the organizers may use these extra banners to inform the change though the previous banner used gives the other details of the event.
