Also nylon webbing can be made to make the banner act as heavy duty banner. Even heavy duty eyelets are used for the same purpose. The heavy duty banners are used for advertising for business on the outside where long term durability is essential. The tough 15 oz. scrim banner has one smooth matte surface that is perfect for digital printing plus a block-out layer to keep images undisturbed.

Heavy duty banners have more wall thickness and have a greater durability and are better for more frequent outdoor use. When printing onto heavy duty banner, it is difficult to avoid the scrim-like texture.

Heavy duty vinyl can be used for long term outdoor applications. This heavy duty vinyl is commonly available in weights from 15-21 oz. Also, with heavy duty banner vinyl, the reinforcement is more critical than the weight. A typical heavy duty thread count would be 9 x 9”.

Also, the denier can range anywhere from 500-2000. A super strong scrim would be 9 x 9 and 1000 denier.
