The vinyl banners are used to announce events such as the birthday parties, a sales event, auctioning, offering various services and products to the customers by some businessmen, the ISO certification vinyl banners, weddings etc. These vinyl banners are basically used in two types. The first type includes the ones that uses only lettering and the other type uses lettering as well as latest graphic techniques or some logos.

These vinyl banners can be printed using various common graphic design program files for outdoors. Some of the features of vinyl banners are- A matte finish or glossy one is used for printing, accurate and vibrant colors are used, in sunlight its life is about 3-5 years, nylon re-enforced material that possesses great strength is used, it can be grometted or hemmed, with screen printing is gets the edge over the others.

Using this material the durability of these banners also increases. If it is produced in volumes it can then be discounted. No cost of screens or separations is there. A full four color process is given at 200dpi and is somewhat lower than 600dpi.

The pricing scheme for the vinyl banners used for the outdoors is based on size in square feet which is as follows:

• For less than 50 sq ft its $7.75 /sq ft
• In between 50-99 its 6.2 5/ sq ft
• In between 100-249 its 5.2 5/ sq ft
• In between 250-499 its 4.50/ sq ft
• For 500 and above its 6.2 5/ sq ft

For the trade show vinyl banners, the vinyl that is used gives a matte style finish that works beautifully with the ink used. To give it strength it is nylon reinforced. Full color images can be printed on vinyl just the same way as we do on the paper. For vinyl that is bought in widths 36”, 50” & 60”, then respectively for each we get the ink on 35”, 49” & 60”. As the material is costly, the indoor vinyl is sold by the running foot of the material. The grommets used are for $1 each. The pricing of trade show vinyl banners is done as follows:

• For 36”, $29 per running foot
• For 50”, $42 per running foot
• For 60”, $50 per running foot

For the indoor banners, regular imaging inks are used. Grommets when required are put through a single layer of material. If the customer wants 600dpi printing on outdoor banners UV stable inks are used on tradeshow vinyl. These inks do not run when they get wet and 1-2 year of life span is provided. The effective width of the banner is reduced by 2” by hemming to 34, 48, and 58”. The pricing of vinyl banners now becomes $32, $ 45 & $55 per running foot respectively.
