UV Protected Banners
Some banners are used for outdoor purposes. There are many factors which affect these outdoor banners among which the effects of Ultra Violet rays or UV rays are also one. The element which causes the greatest decay is the Ultra Violet light. So banners are to be protected from these UV rays also.
The nylon fabric is as light translucent as stained glass. It is a durable cloth, which is ultraviolet protected. There are some liquid laminates which are quite inexpensive and help to protect the banners from UV rays. This liquid laminate is easy to apply and do not require extensive equipment.
The liquid laminates feature the current innovations in Ultra Violet light absorbers and light stabilizers that offer protection to banners. This laminate is created especially to:
- Protect inks from ultraviolet exposure.
- Protect inks from abrasion and marring.
- Provide resistance from chemicals and water.
The laminate coats enhance the visual appearance of ink and heighten the color and increase the color density. The fragile silk fabric banner is also vulnerable to light damage from both visible and Ultra Violet light.
The Arches paper is mould made in France from 100% cotton. This paper is a cotton fabric archival paper with a neutral PH with three different surfaces. When the prints are framed under glass displayed under normal lighting conditions and protected from ultra violet light, will last for 100 years without noticeable fading.
